About Us
Founded in 2014, The Edict is Ashoka University's independent student-run newspaper. We strive to report factually accurate news from Ashoka University. Our work seeks to facilitate informed public discourse and cultivate an atmosphere of free inquiry and expression in line with the spirit of a liberal arts education. We aim to adhere to the highest journalistic standards in our published works.
Corrections
The Edict is committed to accuracy in our reportage and publications. In case, we make any mistakes we are eager to correct them. Any corrections to our stories will be mentioned at the end of the article. To report any such corrections, email edict@ashoka.edu.in
Corrections to editorial content will also be taken into consideration.
Submissions
The Edict welcomes any guest submissions to our Opinions page. To submit a guest op-ed for the Edict, email the Opinion Editors at edict@ashoka.edu.in with the subject line [Opinions pitch] followed by your proposed title for the piece. Write a brief description of your pitch in the email and attach a document with a draft of the piece, if possible.
Alternatively, you can also fill in the form on the website meant for guest op-eds. The form can be found on the Opinions page.
